Seething Airfield History | 448th Museum

Remembering

448th Bomb Group Museum at SeethingSeething Airfield was home to the 448th Bomb Group, a part of the 2nd Air Division of the 8th American Air Force.

The spirit of those times is remembered in the Control Tower museum which is situated at the entrance to the airfield. Within its drab grey walls is a fine collection of World War 2 artifacts relating to the 448th, the airfield and airmen. A memorial stands to one side of the museum.

The museum is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers who rely on donations and the sale of refreshemnts and souvenirs to keep the building and collection in good order.

The museum is open the first Sunday of every month from May to October inclusive.
